Jevels Words uses a grid-based letter matching system where you connect adjacent tiles horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to form valid English words. Each tile contains a single letter with an assigned point value ranging from 1 to 10 based on letter frequency. The game validates words against a dictionary of over 170,000 English terms, instantly confirming matches and calculating your score multiplier.
The core mechanic revolves around combo chains: when you form a word, matched tiles disappear and new letters cascade down from the top, creating opportunities for sequential matches. Building three consecutive words without breaking the chain triggers a 2x multiplier, five consecutive matches unlock 3x scoring, and sustained combos above seven words activate the Jewel Burst mode where every tile glows and point values double for 15 seconds.
Each level presents a specific objective such as reaching a target score within 60 seconds, clearing all tiles marked with gems, or forming words using designated bonus letters. The difficulty progression introduces locked tiles requiring multiple adjacent matches to unlock, frozen letters that need two-word formations to activate, and rainbow wildcards that substitute for any letter in your word construction.
Progress through ten themed worlds with 50 levels each, from Emerald Gardens to Diamond Peaks. Each world introduces unique tile behaviors and visual themes while gradually increasing word complexity from three-letter matches to nine-letter vocabulary challenges. Levels include timed sprints, score targets, and gem collection objectives.
Compete in 24-hour limited puzzles that reset at midnight and feature unique tile layouts not found in the main campaign. Daily challenges award crown tokens based on your final score ranking against global players, with top 100 finishers earning exclusive gem bundles and rare power-up packs.
Deploy six distinct boosters during gameplay: Hint reveals one valid word on the board, Shuffle randomizes all tiles without breaking your combo, Freeze extends your timer by 20 seconds, Multiplier doubles points for the next three words, Wildcard transforms any tile into a universal letter, and Gem Magnet attracts all bonus tiles to adjacent positions.
The game logs every unique word you form in your personal dictionary, tracking statistics like longest word formed, rarest letters used, and total vocabulary size. Unlock achievement badges for milestones such as discovering 500 unique words, using all 26 letters in a single session, or forming a nine-letter word without power-ups.
Chain consecutive word matches to build your multiplier from 1x up to 5x scoring. The multiplier counter displays your current streak and glows when approaching the next tier. Breaking the chain resets your multiplier but banking points before attempting risky long words lets you preserve high scores while experimenting with advanced vocabulary.
Play all 500 campaign levels without internet connection. Your progress syncs automatically when you reconnect, preserving completed levels, earned gems, unlocked power-ups, and vocabulary statistics. Only daily challenges and leaderboard rankings require active connectivity for real-time competition tracking.
